Privacy policy

EnviroMetrics LLC wrote this policy. It covers the EnviroMetrics iPhone app and the website envirometrics.ai. It explains what we collect and how we use it.
Who we are
EnviroMetrics LLC is the company behind this app and website. TygerLabs AI, Inc. built the app.
The app is free to download and use. This release has nothing available for purchase.
What we collect in the app
No account is required. Guests can use the app without one. The only way to create an account is through Sign in with Apple. There are no passwords. When you sign in, Apple may pass us your name if you share it, along with your email address or Apple’s private relay address and an Apple user ID. We hold a token from Apple so we can revoke your sign-in if your account is deleted.
Location is only read while the app is open, to about 100 meters of accuracy. We never read it in the background. You can type an address instead, and you don’t need location permission for that. Once you’ve typed 3 characters, we send what you’ve typed to look up matching addresses. Account holders can save up to 25 places. Each saved place holds a label, its location, and the address we find for it, including street, city, county, state, ZIP, census tract, and time zone. If you turn on push alerts while signed in, we store your device’s push token and app version. When you send feedback, we receive the message, the reading it relates to, the app version, the county, state and ZIP of the place, and a reply email if you choose to include one. Feedback never carries an exact location. The following never leave your phone: indoor readings you type, your progress through indoor steps, household profile and home check answers, recent searches, cached readings, and the home report PDF. The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party code libraries, and no tracking.
What we collect on the website
The website has no accounts. Google Analytics records which pages are read, using cookies. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off. Our server access log records each visitor’s IP address, the page requested, and their browser.
The consult form collects your name, email, phone number, ZIP code if you provide it, the problem you describe, and which page the form was on. The form software also logs your IP address and browser. The newsletter sign-up collects your email address and the page you were on. The app waitlist collects your email address and the page you were on.
How we use it
Your location or typed address goes to our server. Our server then contacts data services to get readings for that spot. When you type an address, we start sending the text after 3 characters. This helps us find matching addresses as you type.
For account holders, our server sends each saved place’s location to data services on a schedule. Every 15 minutes, it does this to keep scores current and to send alerts if you have them turned on. Once a day, it runs to build score history. Once a week, it runs to update nearby features such as cell masts and parks.
We keep the Apple token to revoke Sign in with Apple when you delete your account. Our team reads feedback. We use consult form submissions to reply to you. No newsletter has been sent yet. When the app is available, everyone on the waitlist will get one email.
Who receives it
Our server sends a location, typed address, ZIP code, or census tract to the data services listed here: the US Census Bureau, OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim and the public Overpass servers, komoot’s Photon address search, Open-Meteo, the National Weather Service, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service soil survey, IQVIA through pollen.com (your ZIP code) and, when IQVIA has no answer, Google (pollen only), OpenCellID, NASA, the US Forest Service tree canopy layer served on the federal GeoPlatform, and the CDC. Those services see our server, not your device. Your name and email are never sent to them. The app’s API runs on Laravel Cloud. The website runs on DigitalOcean. Google Analytics receives page visit data from the website. Consult form submissions go to our team by email. Feedback goes to our team only.
On your phone, Apple converts coordinates to an address and draws map tiles. Apple delivers push notifications, which include the place name and its reading. When you open a store product, it loads in the seller’s own website inside the app, and the seller’s privacy policy applies there. We may receive a commission.
How long we keep it
Your account, preferences, saved places, and devices are kept until you remove them or delete your account. A push token is removed when you sign out, when your account is deleted, or when Apple tells us it is no longer valid. Score history is kept for 90 days. Alert records are kept for 90 days. Feedback is kept for 12 months and then deleted. Sign-in tokens that go unused are removed after 90 days. Server caches clear between 90 seconds and 30 days. Server logs may include the general area of a lookup, and the full lookup detail when a data service returns an error.
On the website, the access log is held for 30 days. Google Analytics data is held for 14 months. Consult form records stay until you ask us to delete them at metrics@noyoweb.com. To remove your email from the newsletter list, contact us at metrics@noyoweb.com at any time.
Deleting your data and your choices
To delete your account, go to Settings in the app. Doing so removes your account, preferences, saved places and their history, devices, alert records, and sign-in tokens. It revokes Sign in with Apple and wipes the app’s data from your phone. This action cannot be undone. Cache entries clear on their own schedule. Feedback is not linked to your account, so it stays after you delete your account. To have it deleted sooner, contact us at metrics@noyoweb.com.
You can turn location on or off in iOS Settings. You can turn notifications on or off in iOS Settings, and by type within the app. You can remove any saved place at any time. To ask questions or request removal of website records, contact us at metrics@noyoweb.com.
